Mateus Yumarnamto

Mateus Yumarnamto is an Associate Professor in the Graduate Program of English Education at Universitas Katolik Widya Mandala Surabaya. He earned his Ph.D. in Literacy, Culture, and Language Education from Indiana University Bloomington through a Fulbright Presidential Scholarship. His research focuses on teacher professional identity, English language teaching (ELT), multilingualism, and narrative inquiry. He has published extensively in international journals and books and actively participates in international conferences and academic collaborations. He is now the dean of Faculty of teacher Training and Education at UKWMS. Mateus has received several prestigious international grants, including DAAD and Fulbright, and is actively involved in capacity-building programs such as DIES-NMT as a trainer and committee member. He is an alumna of DIES-International Dean’s Course DAAD in 2019.
