Dr. Kai Handel is Professor for Higher Education and Research Management at the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences and program director of the International Deans Course (https://www.international-deans-course.org/home).

 Among other positions he served from 2006 to 2014 as President of the Konstanz University of Applied Science and was responsible for the strategic development and the modernization of the University and from 2014 to 2021 he was Vice-President for Organization and Management at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences.
