Dr.phil. Saiful Akmal, completed his master's degree in Applied Linguistics, The University of Liverpool, the United Kingdom in 2007 from British Council Scholarship and holds a doctoral degree in philosophy, language, and culture from Goethe Universitaet Frankfurt, Germany in 2014 as a DAAD ASFE Scholarship awardee. Before being appointed as the Head of Audit and Quality Assurance at Universitas Islam Negeri Ar-Raniry, he was the Head of Political Science’s Laboratory at The Faculty of Social and Administration Sciences, the deputy head/secretary of the Department of Language Education at the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training, the Coordinator for Europe and the United States Department at the International Office, and the Head of Islamic Communication and Broadcasting Magister Study Program at the Postgraduate School, at the same university.
