Florian J. Schweigert

Vita

Prof. Dr. Florian Schweigert is the Vice President for International Affairs, Alumni and Fundraising of the University of Potsdam. Furthermore he is responsible for the affairs of the faculty of law and for the Center for Languages and Key Competences (Zessko) of the university. He studied veterinary medicine at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich, Germany. After he obtained his doctoral degree, he was a research fellow at the same university in Munich and at the Harvard Medical School Boston, USA. He habilitated in Physiology and Physiological Chemistry and held a professorship for Nutrition Physiology at the faculty of veterinary medicine at the University of Leipzig and a professorship for Physiology and Pathophysiology at the University of Potsdam. Moreover he holds a guest professorship at the Mahidol University in Bangkok, Thailand, and at the Khon Kaen University, Thailand.
