by Daniel Toro, Provost, Universidad Tecnologica de Bolivar, Colombia

OUTLINE: The presentation explores the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on academic performance in higher education. Results show an atypical effect of the pandemic on academic performance measured by GPA. Results suggest that the effect of the pandemic due to grade inflation is equivalent to 60% of the total change in GPA.
