Carlos Coronado

Vita

With 15 years of experience in the field of international education, Carlos Coronado has worked as a consultant for Plan International Finland (2006), and as a lecturer of International Cooperation, Head of the International Relations Office, and Advisor of the International Office at the Universidad del Magdalena, Colombia. He led the development of an international resource mobilization protocol and utility – Co-lab UNIMAGDALENA – consulting on this expertise with different Colombian and Latin American HEIs. His other main area of expertise is diversity and inclusion in international higher education, having created and implemented the Global Connection, International Double Degree, and Global Internships programs at UNIMAGDALENA. The programs aim at preparing and supporting low-income, ethnic minorities, and students with disabilities in carrying out study abroad experiences. It has been running for 12 years and has benefited over 500 students from the university. Carlos was an expert guest in the NMT Alumni Training on Internationalization of Quality (2022) led by the Politécnico Santa Rosa in Mexico and has been a guest and consultant on the topics of international resource mobilization for several Colombian universities among them Universidad del Bosque, Universidad Minuto de Dios, Universidad de la Guajira, Universidad de Medellín, Tecnologico de Antioquia, among others.
