Matome Mokoena

Vita

Matome Mokoena was born in Ga Kgapane, Limpopo Province, South Africa.  He is an internationalisation of higher education expert with more than fifteen years of experience.  He is the first South African in history to complete the DAAD DIES Management of Internationalisation training course in 2018.  He is a 2022 NMT Committee member and Mentor responsible for the capacity development of other internationalisation practitioners from across six provinces in South Africa at the forefront of building a community of practice.  He was mentored by Merle Hodges, one of the Internationalisation experts for the NMT project.  He now serves as an Officer: Incoming Exchange and Special Projects in the Office for International Affairs at the University of the Free State.  He obtained ND: Office Management and Technology (Tshwane University of Technology), BTECH: Office Management and Technology (Cape Peninsula University of Technology) and PG Dip in Public Administration and Management (University of the Free State).  He is currently enrolled for his Masters in Public Administration and Management.  He is a former University Sports South Africa (USSA) Basketball National Committee member, Basketball Coach, Team Manager, Basketball Video Analyst, Basketball Statistician and Talent Manager.
