Abigail Opoku Mensah

Vita

Prof. (Mrs.) Abigail Opoku Mensah holds a Ph.D. in Psychology with specialization in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University of Ghana, Legon. She is an Associate Professor at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) in the Faculty of Management Studies- & Business Administration. She was recently appointed as the Director of the Centre for International Education and Collaboration at UPSA. She also worked at the University of Cape Coast (UCC) and has over twelve years experience in teaching and academic research. At UCC she rose from lecturer, to senior lecturer and to associate professor within a decade. Whilst at the University of Cape Coast she served as the founding Head of their newly created Management Department, School of Business. She also served in numerous capacities, notable among them are; Board Chairperson of the University of Cape Coast Basic School Governing Committee and the Hall Warden of the only Female Hall of the University of Cape Coast (Adehye Hall). Before leaving to join UPSA, she was appointed by the Vice Chancellor (University of Cape Coast) in December 2020 as the Chairman of the Institutional Advancement and Rebranding Team to promote UCC. She has to her credit over 30 article publications and has presented numerous academic papers in conferences, both locally and internationally. In 2020, Sloan Foundation (USA) awarded her in their initiative programme as an Early Career Researcher with other 15 scholars across the globe. She is also an alumna of DAAD/DIES, Training course on ‘Management of Internationalization’ (Germany).
