Carolyne Omulando
Vita
Prof. Carolyne Omulando is a trained High School Teacher and taught at this level for 10 years. Later moved to Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology, Department of Language and Literature Education, Faculty of Education and Social Sciences – Assistant Lecturer (2006 –2009); and at Moi University, Department of Curriculum, Instruction and Educational Media, School of Education (2010 – 2016), and 2017 –date, at Alupe University College, in the Department of Language and Literature Education, and currently the Dean School of Education and Social Sciences. She is an English Language Education specialist who is widely published and the areas of research interest include: language teacher education, language teaching, language learning, English language curriculum design and development, language learning strategies, sociolinguistics, communication education, higher education and lastly drama in/for education. She is a member and affiliate of professional and academic associations as follows: African Network of Internationalization of Education (ANIE), serving in the Capacity Building Committee; Organisation for Social Science Research in Eastern and Southern Africa (OSSREA) serving as an Executive Committee Member in the Kenya Chapter; Association of English Language Educators and Researchers (ASELER), among founder members, serving in the Core Committee as Executive Director; Language Association of East Africa (LAEA), Alupe University College contact person. She is a DAAD scholar, having trained on the International Deans´ Course Africa 2019/2020 cohort, under the “Dialogue on Innovative Higher Education Strategies” programme.
