Laos - National Curriculum and Program-Level QA Standards

About the training:

The pioneer project in Laos is meant to develop a set of minimum standards for Business Education and Economic programmes. This is an innovative project because most countries in the region only have institutional accreditation and are using generic forms. The project focuses on formulating a set of program standards for Business and Economics which would lead to program accreditation. Most countries in the region only have institutional accreditation.

Expected learning outcomes:

By the end of the training course the participants are expected to be able to:

  • Understand different dimensions and factors in association with the curriculum development and its linkages with quality assurance.
  • Develop minimum standards for the programme accreditation in business and economics.
  • Know how to prepare a self-assessment report.

Target group:

The primary target groups are members of public universities, private institutions, and relevant technical officials of Educational Standards and Quality Assurance Center (ESQAC) and Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES). The participants are working in the field of quality assurance and curriculum development in their institutions/organizations.
