Indonesia - Deans’ Course for Private Higher Education Institution

About the training:

The training aims to prepare higher education top managers from private institutions for the challenges of holding the position as a leader in the dynamic landscape of higher education. It deals with various dimensions of university management such as finance management, quality management, and leadership, supplemented with practice-oriented sessions on project management.

Expected learning outcomes:

By the end of the training course the participants are expected to be able to:

  • Understand the current development of the higher education system in Indonesia and the position of private institutions in terms of its competitiveness.
  • Increase understanding and awareness of their work situation (university governance structure) and functional management.
  • Understand causes, consequences, and how to manage change in the fast-moving higher education environment and to make a transformation in their workplace.

Target group:

The target group for this training program is rectors, vice-rectors, deans, vice-deans, directors, and heads of departments from private HEIs in Indonesia.
