Democratic Republic of the Congo - Build the Capacity of Young Researchers to Write and Budget a Scientific Research Project

About the training:

The aim is to train participants to develop relevant and promising research proposals to apply for national and international funding. The content of the training and the work to be carried out in this framework aims at strengthening the participants' capacities in designing, structuring, writing and budgeting a research proposal that meets the criteria (requirements) of funding agencies. The workshop provided a space for methodological and scientific exchanges, enriched by the cross-experiences between trainers, experts and participants from different disciplines.

Expected learning outcomes:

By the end of the training course the participants are expected to be able to:

  • Develop research proposals with dual scientific and social relevance.
  • Properly evaluate research proposals written by third parties.
  • Search for and find appropriate funding agencies.
  • Introduce others to writing research proposals.

Each participant now has a proposal ready for submission to funding agencies.

Target group:

The target groups are Junior and Senior Assistants of Universities and Higher Institutes in the city of Kinshasa; researchers from all disciplines of the humanities.
